Who can join freemasonry?

Anyone who is an adult of good character, and fosters a desire to be useful to their fellow men and women.

    Dear Brothers,
Just a query on who is to judge character – it may be that someone intends to join out of base motives and under a cloud. It is desirable to take people on trust and their word but the world, like it or not, is not like that. The essence of the Craft is to bring the world along to a worldwide fraternity. In this process we must be careful and try to sort the wheat from the chaff. It is a sad fact that while the light is within us all for some its refraction is a les than perfect expression of the Greater. I would firmly believe that these people can be destructive and block the progress of Brethren in the Craft.
    Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

    Michael.
